Sunday night with the HSG
Food! aren't you already interested? :)
Google analytics has been giving me reports of the average visit lasting 20 seconds. Feel free to read the WHOLE post instead of skimming it.
For about 2 and half hours, me Eric and a bunch of peers from the HSG spent outside. (Missed Aaron who is in Egypt) I climbed a tire swing rope probably 20 feet below the part of the tree it's hung on, and climbed the whole thing and poked the branch. Yay! it was fun, I have rope burns and blisters on my feet totally worth it though. After we played the "Winking" game, I was chosen to be the winker 3 times. the first two times I did miserably and was caught shorty after I killed the first person, the third time I was able to get everybody out. (I think if they were paying more attention to the game I would have been out, I didn't feel I was doing anything especially different then the other times.) Most of the Fathers of the HSG were there.
We watched a movie called "Facing the giants", I have to say I enjoyed the movie as well. (Rumors were spreading that my mother cried :D tee hee) It was about a man leading an underdog football team. He then puts Christ as the center of his life and actions and to his team while struggling with problems at home. At the end they win the championship (of course :). There was a part where the team lost a game which cut off their chances of playing in the championship game. Right after I told my sister "Watch, they can't end it right there they don't have enough time to start the story of a whole new season and they haven't dealt with the loose ends. I predict the other team will be caught cheating giving them a second chance."
Afterwards Eric and I tried doing one of the exercises/preps that they used in the movie. We failed horribly the first time and decided to try it after we help clean up. Cleaning up was finished, and we tried it. Eric was on my back and I was ready to start moving, my mother interrupts and says "John I don't want you to hurt yourself" I said "Don't worry I'm fine" Then she says "Oh come on not now" I said "But I'm fine"... Let me just state that I usually would get right up, but I was only trying to reason because I didn't feel like knocking Eric off of my back because he was set just right. Maybe I should of gotten up immediately, and I will say I DO respect my mother, but me being her son I know how she talks to me and how I respond more then anybody. I've been several peoples houses where the son or daughter says something that sounds really disrespectful but it's just how they talk to each other, I don't think people can fully understand what I'm saying unless they try to see how people talk to each other. The comment made by another adult telling me to respect my mother abruptly got me on my feet, I still don't know if it was serious or not. If it was, You might be right that it was a lack of respect, but above is my defense.
Don't think that if somebody says something to me negatively I'll always write a paper on it. :) Criticism from adults is the way to be better! Wootz! (don't know how long I can keep that up but I'll try.)
During the Movie I must say I spaced out a little... I was laying on my back looking in the sky, the stars were beautiful. I was thinking about what I was going to do for a living in the future ( don't ask me why, I really don't know). I'd like to get into the sciences (maybe Electrical Engineering) for my Degree, and then to grad school for buisness. I'm still stuck if I want to go to medical school. My grandfather is urging me to, time will tell though. I have no way of knowing if the resources will be available then. I guess going into 11'th grade nearing the end of my high school education is getting to me...
I had a great time today. :)

lol! yea, that was a lot of fun!! :) you noticed the stars, too?? they were awesome, weren't they? :)
YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN ME AND MR. O'BRIEN DO THE DEATH CRAWL AFTER YOU LEFT!!! IT WAS AWESOME DUDE!!!
Oh, rats, John. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to criticize you, and actually the incident has been on my mind last night and this morning, too, even before I read your post. (Fully read your post, don't worry: no skimming here.) Anyway, I KNOW you respect your mother. I think it was my off-base humor coming out, like carrying one of the themes of the movie, to respect your parents always, into our real life, but said in a way that I meant to be funny. I'm sorry, it missed the mark of humor. (Sometimes humor does miss, doesn't it?)
Your mom could undoubtedly handle the situation herself, between you and her, and I really didn't mean to stick my nose in, it just popped out of me. I was being goofy. Please accept my apology, and I'm glad you brought it up because it was on my mind, too.
unrelated to this post: Crossroads B.C. yesterday
Sometimes my mouth runneth over.
No need to apologize! I totally don't mind what you said seriously! I was just confuzzled, only because I couldn't tell the tone of voice that it was said in. Feel free to be goofy! not quite sure how goofy I am, but I try!
thank you, and I was wrong.
spacing out is really fun! when we played the winking game you didnt get me out!!! i wasnt looking at you!!
the stars were cool! makes you think about how awesome God is!!! thats what it makes me think of anyways:)
i really love God!! He rocks my stinking socks off! ok im done.
I didn't get you out only because you were the last one, and it was obvious who it was. I still win though, Nah Nah :P
